![]() ![]() Just now I had to begin installing Halo Infinite thru the Xbox app to play the campaign on PC. but I'm constantly on edge while using this piece of shit, because I fear having to deal with those same baffling and nigh-unfixable problems I dealt with all the way up to 2021. Since the beginning of this year, I've had zero issues whatsoever. The worst issues that I have EVER experienced with a major vendor's product throughout the entirety of my 2 decades of PC gaming experience. Shit would 'ghost' uninstall, removing it from my list of installed titles while the data would remain, undeletable. I had constant issues until the beginning of this year. I had high hopes for the new Xbox/Windows insider update thing and it looks like it didn't really solve almost any of the fundamental issues PC users had with that app/client. Early last year I had to reinstall Windows to fix unrecoverable Xbox App crap eating precious SSD hard drive space and I'm not dealing with that shit again. I look at this as an extension of that principle. Guess it wouldn't be the first time I've had to seek cracks/alternative means just to get legitimately purchased/rented games to function. It's truly sad that I even having to consider this. At least hackers downloads, installations and uninstallations reliably function. It's getting to the point where to avoid the Microsoft PC Xbox app crap altogether, especially now there's a couple titles I want to try out, I'm highly considering subbing to PC GamePass for 1 month and just downloading the couple games I'd like to play via torrents. I think it's unlikely but I would instantly sub it if it were true. I'd much rather Xbox Game Pass just be on Steam and let them handle it. ![]()
